I ran across a very nasty Michael Whatley ad, which broke my heart. Good people who run on their beliefs, character, and passion for lifting others up should never be maligned. This ad made me all the more determined to fight for what our country needs...more people in Congress who genuinely care for and support North Carolinians.
I will vote a Democratic ticket but I would like to hear that you will support SCOTUS reform including ethics, term limits, adding at least 3 justices and ending unconstitutional partisan overreach like Citizens United while reaffirming separation of powers and church & state. This SCOTUS majority has so radically reinterpreted the Constitution that it reverses the original intent of the founders who meant to prevent a unitary executive, not create one.
ICE is an extra judicial death squad that routinely violates the Constitutional rights of both citizens and immigrants. This extrajudicial overreach must end and an independent judiciary must restore the rule of law.
Two false statements in the headlines out of three: very bad. Democrats cannot be "outpointed" for the simple reason that theirpolicies are better than Republicns' on all points. And don't use bad English: like is not a conjunction and people are turned off buy its use that way. No $ for this. Moreover, here's what the opposition thinks:

I think I'm just missing a level of authenticity when I listen to Roy Cooper and his team's message being read with a British accent. I've mentioned it before. It bothers me and I stop listening which isn't good for your messaging.
I will be voting for Roy Cooper, don't get me wrong. I don't need to see TV ads. I don't think people really pay attention to those anymore.
What I'd like to see are more innovative ways to connect with the communities of North Carolina. Show up at our demonstrations, invite influencing voices to a substack live event. Who are you partnering with? ACLU? Teacher Unions? Let us see those people who share in our fight for democracy. We need those partnerships to figure out what will happen after this regime is done gutting our Civil Liberties. Organizations such as ED4D and other non profits are working so hard to make sure our elections will be safe and our votes will be counted.
It's good to see what you did as governor.
Right now, it's not a race for more money. It's a race to unite as many like minded people, Organizations, and groups with legal knowledge of our constitution.
